By using Study Music Theory (the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What Study Music Theory is

Study Music Theory is an educational tool for physiotherapy students. It provides gamified revision content covering musculoskeletal conditions including assessment, special tests, differentials, pathology, management, and clinical pearls. It is built by a qualified NHS physiotherapist.

Accuracy

We work hard to make the content evidence-based and accurate, citing sources where relevant (e.g. Hegedus 2012 for special test diagnostic accuracy). However:

• Medical knowledge evolves. Content reflects our understanding at the time of writing.
• We may make mistakes. If you spot an error, please report it via studymsk6@gmail.com.
• Guidelines vary by country and institution. Study Music Theory is primarily written from a UK NHS perspective.
• Nothing in Study Music Theory should be treated as definitive clinical guidance.

Your account

You may use Study Music Theory without an account. If you choose to sign in via Google, you are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. One account per person. You can delete your account at any time — see the account deletion page.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source content in bulk
• Scrape lesson content for redistribution
• Use the leaderboard for harassment or impersonation
• Attempt to inflate XP, streaks, or leaderboard position through automated means
• Use the service in a way that disrupts or harms it for other users
• Use the service to violate any law

We reserve the right to remove leaderboard entries that contain abusive display names.

Intellectual property

The Study Music Theory app, its name, branding, UI, lesson structure, quizzes, and written content are copyright © 2026 Study Music Theory. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works based on this content without written permission. You may take personal screenshots for your own revision use.

Third-party services

Study Music Theory uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore) to handle sign-in and leaderboard sync. Your use of these services is also governed by Google's terms at policies.google.com/terms.

Availability

Study Music Theory is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may take the service offline for maintenance or retire it entirely with reasonable notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Study Music Theory and its authors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the service. This includes but is not limited to loss of data, loss of revision progress, loss of professional opportunity, or any damage arising from reliance on educational content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
